A New Journey Begins…

Today we embark upon our newest adventure… starting our website! We try to fill our lives with as much adventure as we can- through travel, local explorations, artistic endeavors, getting out into nature, hitting up great pubs, cooking up new ideas in the kitchen, and meeting awesome new people! While we have been at this for a while now, and often tell others our stories one on one, we wanted to create this site to invite everyone along on this journey with us.
So, welcome aboard!
We are artists, and we seek out adventures with an artist’s style of passion. Through this site we will share with you our travels, our stories, our ideas, and our loves… and hopefully we will be able to share enough of our passion to inspire or accompany the same passion within you.
One of my deep passions is a great story. Regardless of medium, a good story is something that captivates me, and I take inspiration from great storytellers who excite the imagination. Our posts will be written in a way to tell our story and give the reader something with substance, and will also feature a bunch of pictures, which will continue the stories and add more details in the captions. Consider the site to be an ever-growing book of short stories where you join these real life characters on their haphazard adventures.
We have never done a website before, so we’re sure there are going to be some kinds of tweaks and changes ahead while we figure out what works best. We are not looking to be a Trip Advisor or Lonely Planet where we break down seeing this or doing that and give ratings on the sights and activities. And while we do love our travels, it is not a travel site exclusively. Adventures are found everywhere! We are sharing our experiences and hoping to give you a story to follow along with us, and maybe even something to inspire you to seek out some adventures of your own.
The stories will be infused with us - at times they will be goofy, at times very exciting, at times very sexy (keeping things taboo is boring, and we're not into hiding the typically unspoken parts of our adventures under the rug), and at times very serious and reflecting (as sometimes the history and the things we learn of the places we go are not always sunshine and smiles) - but regardless the stories will always be infused with us and who we are. And, hopefully, you will read them and feel as if you were right there on the adventure with us!
There are a few things we plan to feature, or at least have decided on so far. This is a living and developing site, so these are certainly not all inclusive and items may come and go. But this is the plan so far! It will have updates and our current goings-on, of course. It will follow our adventures, be it through travels or local explorations or even just general things we are doing. We will share some top tips that have worked for us over the years. We intend to add culinary posts, mostly of dishes found on or inspired by our travels, and likely cooking them up while following a bit of a British food-travelogue style (as this was actually a big influence on us for starting this site). It will feature a section I'm exited about called "Reminiscing", where we share specific stories from our past adventures, mostly ones that took place long before this site came about. We will highlight some of our favorite things, places, and foods. And of course, there will be lots of pictures! And while our site hosting does optimize for mobile devices, the best experience will be to view the posts on a tablet or computer.
